Fair Fighting In Relationships? Why Even Fight At All?

June 22nd, 2008 by myrlenebansal

By Paul Anderson Wait a minute: How come it’s okay to fight to get to the top of your class but not okay to fight with your best friend or confidant to get to the best outcome regarding a difference of opinion you two have over something you both care about? Just as there are “fair” ways to fight with cancer (i.e. chemo therapy rather than a shot gun), there are fair ways to fight with your spouse or boss. Friends, siblings, business partners, lovers and mates need to learn the art and skill of fair fighting. If you dont, youll fight unfairly and that is destructive. If you dont fight, youll miss the healthy benefits of fighting. It is human to have conflict. It is okay when we hear of a person who fought and struggled or strived to get to the top of their field of endeavor. We cheer for the person who has won their fight with cancer. We dont so much like to root for the friend who argues with or contends with another friend of ours. Kids dont applaud their parents when fighting. Mothers, unlike football coaches, dont video tape their childrens quarrels with each other and afterwards give them pointers as to how they could do better arguing. Whats going on here? So long as we follow the rules of the game, its good to have a competitive, heated tennis match with an vopponent. The same holds true for an emotional match with our spouse. It toughens us, makes us better in that arena, and teaches us a great deal about the other person and how they function. Fighters know each other about as well, perhaps better, than passionate lovers. Relationship conflict helps to keep up boundaries. With healthy boundaries we are better able to co-exist with another person and not be threatened or insecure. Basically when we speak of a person winning a struggle with cancer, what has happened is not the elimination of cancer cells from their body. Rather, the cancer has been put in its place, back into a low level of prevalence to keep the body balanced and healthy. We all have some cancer cells in us at all times. Healthy struggle with cancer cells keeps them from growing too fast and taking over parts of the body. Fair fighting in relationships ventilates grievances so resentment stays down, increases coping abilities and keeps power differentials at manageable levels so that the relationship stays balanced. Done right, conflict can solve problems and fix disorder. Here are basic rules for fair fighting: 1. No physical violence or emotional abuse while talking/fighting. 2. No name calling or cussing out the other person. 3. Stick to the topic of contention. No bringing up the past, unless thats the topic. 4. Avoid lying and exaggerating as in You always…… or You never…… or Im the only one who ever……. Statements such as these are useless untruths and do little to enhance problem solving. 5. No walking or running out of the fight. If you need a break because youre getting too emotional to think clearly and remember the fair rules of fighting, ask for a break and agree when the fight will resume. You do not have to say this relationship is over or ask for a divorce just to take a time-out. 6. No ultimatums or threats. The point of fair fighting is not to win but to struggle with your partner until you can come to win/win solutions or compromises. In the meantime enjoy sparing with the other person and sharpening both of your abilities to stay afloat in the world of human realities. A licensed psychologist, Paul W. How to be an Eco Beauty

June 19th, 2008 by myrlenebansal

By Angie Brannigan How much time and money do you spend on your beauty routine? Over the years you will have spent a small fortune on all the creams, lotions and maybe even some beauty treatments. But what is it costing the earth? Its never too late to redeem yourself. You can become an eco-beauty with very little effort. Follow the 10 tips below to make sure you still look superb but dont harm the earth at the same time. 1. Go natural. No we dont mean no make up at all. You will naturally look better by getting a good nights sleep and you wont need as much make up as a consequence. 2. Recycle. Bottles, jars and tubes can all be recycled. No change to your beauty routine but the benefits to mother earth are there for all to see. A really simple one. 3. Spring Clean. Think of all the half used bottles and jars of cream you have. Instead of buying new creams ask yourself where you could reuse these creams. Face cream for example could easily be used on the ankles and feet. If you dont intend using it, then give it away. 4. Be Minimal. Just use what you need. This saves on product and usually makes you look even better. Give it a try. 5. Drink lots of water. The right amount of water is different for everyone but one thing is for sure. We dont normally drink enough. Not only does it cleanse our insides but also the boost to our complexion is quite magnificent. Drink more, drink more, drink more let that be your motto. 6. Half measures. Less is more. When your hairdresser tells you that you only need a small spoonful of shampoo they are telling the truth. Just use what you need. It will be less expensive for you as well. 7. Food for thought. Dont throw out cucumbers just because they are too limp for the salad. Use them to soothe tired eyes. Look for beauty tips using natural products. You will be amazed at what you find. 8. Swap shop. Seek out those brands that are actively trying to make a difference and change to them. Look for proof that they really mean what they say. 9. Save time? Save the earth instead. Ready-made facial wipes are great for tired beauty fans one wipe does the trick. But the cost to the environment is substantial. Why not just buy a face cloth instead? Does the same thing and only takes a few minutes more. 10. Chemical brothers. Check the labels. If your favourite beauty products use parabens and sodium laureth sulphate then ditch them. Both of these nasties have been identified as carcinogens with harmful effect on the planet. They can be bad for you as well causing skin irritation. The above 10 tips are by no means complete, But if you use beauty products then you might as well keep the earth looking beautiful as well. Conscious Mating: Is This the Right Relationship for Me?

June 15th, 2008 by myrlenebansal

By David Steele Prior to making a commitment in a relationship, or in the “pre-commitment” stage, is your opportunity to choose your future as consciously as possible. YOU ARE A PIONEER You are the pioneer of your life. And if you are reading this you are most likely seeking to be the pioneer of your relationships by striving to break free of past patterns and make conscious relationship choices. As a relationship pioneer your goal is to be fully aware of the long-term impact of your choices and date and mate with conscious intention. You are determined to create the life and relationship you really want and believe that true love and fulfillment will happen only if you go after what you really want and dont settle for less. Everyone begins their journey towards a successful and fulfilling committed life partnership as a single. When you date and finally find someone to bond with in a relationship it’s very exciting, but at the same time, most are conscious of the question “Is this the right relationship for me?” and are in what I call the “Pre-commitment Stage” of a relationship. The journey from single to becoming a conscious couple in a successful, fulfilling committed life partnership I call “Conscious Mating.” Just as a conscious single must have clarity about who you are, what you want, and how to get it, so must a conscious couple. As challenging as it is for you to make good long term relationship choices when youre single, it can be even more challenging to make good long-term relationship choices when in a pre-committed relationship. WHAT IS PRE-COMMITMENT? When singles become couples in today’s world, most are wondering at some level “Is this ‘The One’? Should I be with this person for the rest of my life?” They are an exclusive couple, but not yet committed. It may be tempting to call these couples “pre-marital” as a catch-all term to include all couples that haven’t yet taken the step of becoming committed. However, in our opinion, the mindset of a pre-marital couple is “We want to be married,” which is very different from the pre-commitment mindset of “Is this the right relationship for me?” When I first identified the pre-commitment stage and started developing some approaches to working with these couples, I recognized this stage as different than “pre-marital” but didn’t know what to call it. The label “pre-commitment” was intended to be temporary, but it stuck. I was amazed at the lack of recognition, information, and resources for this stage of relationship among mainstream relationship experts and the available research and literature. Even today, while this phenomenon has become common practice in our culture it is still largely unrecognized in the mainstream, which I hope to change with articles such as this one. TWO TYPES OF PRE-COMMITMENT Pre-committed couples generally fall into two categories- UNCONSCIOUS- typically following the “mini-marriage” model of trying the relationship out, acting committed without actually making the commitment. A disconnect of fact and attitude. CONSCIOUS- aware that they are not yet committed, usually have commitment as a goal, asking themselves “Is this the right relationship for me? Should I make a commitment?” An alignment of fact and attitude. ROMANTIC LOVE AND PRE-COMMITMENT There are many misconceptions about love. Our culture glorifies the romantic love stage of relationship in literature, theatre, television, and movies. It is that initial infatuation stage of a relationship when our chemistry is in high gear and we experience euphoria. Powerful amphetamine-like neurotransmitters flood and alter our brain chemistry. While unsustainable, the romantic love stage serves an important purpose because it gives us a taste of our best and most powerful selves. If the relationship turns out to be a good long-term choice, this stage bonds us together and prepares us to weather lifes inevitable storms. Confusing this initial romantic stage with real, sustainable love is a mistake that can be our undoing. We want and expect to be happy, and romantic love is eternally optimistic. We dont want to believe that when we experience this intense chemistry with someone that it wont work. We want to avoid the pain of failure and can be tempted to try hard to fit a round peg into a square hole, twisting ourselves into a pretzel trying to make a relationship work. In todays world when singles become couples, few jump blindly into immediate commitment. Most new couples are pre-committed, meaning they are an exclusive couple, but they havent yet decided the future of their relationship. This stage coincides with romantic love, and conscious couples who understand relationships realize the need to get to know one another long enough for the infatuation to wear off and experience the reality before making irreversible long-term choices. CONSCIOUS MATING A RADICAL POSITION Here is the radical truth: Relationships do break up. As hard as we might try to prevent and avoid relationship failure, it happens anyway. Because there are many unconscious forces at work in every stage of a relationship, being fully aware isnt easy and controlling the outcome is impossible.. These unconscious forces have the potential for undermining our best efforts to sustain love if we are not aware. In Conscious Mating, rather than unconsciously believing romantic fantasies of living happily ever after, we accept this truth. Since relationships break up anyway, why not be as conscious as possible in the process and increase our odds of success? CHOOSING YOUR RELATIONSHIP CHALLENGES Every relationship has challenges. This is normal and does not mean there is something inherently wrong with your relationship. Some challenges are solvable and can be addressed and resolved, others are perpetually unsolvable. Prior to making a commitment in a relationship, or in the “pre-commitment” stage, is your opportunity to choose your future as objectively as possible. You can use the pre-commitment stage of a relationship to identify the solvable challenges and unsolvable problems in this relationship. You can then make a conscious choice to take them on and live with them, or decide that they sabotage the long-term sustainability of your relationship and walk away while you still can with much less pain and cost than further down the road. In pre-commitment you are in an exclusive relationship that is not yet committed. This gives you an opportunity to identify whether this relationship meets your requirements and needs for a successful long-term relationship before you make a commitment. Using the pre-commitment stage to make conscious long-term choices makes good sense. PAIN PREVENTION Even if you experience the pain of breaking up in the pre-commitment stage, this prevents you from experiencing even greater pain down the road. Making the most conscious choice possible before making a commitment is, in our opinion, a pain-prevention gift you can give to yourself. As difficult as it is to make the choice to end a relationship, you will save yourself the devastation you will surely experience at the end of a mini-marriage or a divorce, especially where children are involved. If you are in a relationship that is not yet committed and are asking the question Is this the right relationship for me? I encourage you to make a long-term relationship choice that will result in the life and relationship that you really want before you make a commitment. We must acknowledge the possibility that your current relationship is not The One. Therefore, I suggest you seek to gain clarity about what you really want and need in a relationship and whether or not your current relationship will result in living the life you love with the love of your life. Attracting Women Requires Much More Than Simply Gaining Rapport

June 7th, 2008 by myrlenebansal

By Teddy Shabba I am good at creating rapport with women, finding which buttons to push and what makes them tick. I’m a nerdy, intellectual and good looking guy; my game is getting inside a woman’s head. I am great at getting inside of a woman’s head yet when it comes to creating sexual attraction I find it to be very difficult.Whenever, I meet a woman, we sit, talk, have fun and I get them all excited and feeling really good about themselves. Only never to hear from them again for a second date; what am I doing wrong? Answer: It is great that you can make women feel comfortable around you. It is not so great that after you get inside a woman’s head you continue to poke around her comfort zone instead of moving over and creating sexual attraction. Knowing the right buttons to push and what makes a woman tick means nothing if you never move towards sexual attraction. I imagine the problem really is you don’t want to risk the level of comfort that you have with her so instead of escalating you simply stroke more and more comfort spots in the hopes of her escalating herself. In other words, you give her control and most women in control of a relationship with a man will not lead it to a sexual state. As for not hearing from them again, you either created so much comfort that she became bored with you because you lacked any sexual attraction and/or you are waiting for her to make the next move instead of creating one yourself. What is Organic and Fairtrade Olive Oil

June 1st, 2008 by myrlenebansal

By Davinos Greeno Organic olives are used in the production and many people say that the taste is superior to non organic olive oil. Olives are typically grown in the Mediterranean, with its hot dry summers and cool winters it is the ideal habitat of the olive tree. Olive oil is the oil obtained from the fruit of the olive tree in a mechanical manner. The liquid is pressed out of the olives. Organic olive oils are often picked and crushed by large stone rollers without the use of any mechanical machinery or unnatural processes. Expensive virgin oil is sometimes labelled in a way that you can trace exactly where the oil has come from. The bottle and tin can be numbered and this enables the buyer to identify from which trees the olive oil of each individual container came from. As well as organic oil, fairtrade oil is increasingly available. The Fairtrade principal involves democratic organisation where producers have maximum control over their land and are often formed into co-operatives. Trade Unions are allowed, no child labour is used in the production and a decent wage is paid to the workers that pick the olives and produce the oil. The Fairtrade Mark means that a social premium is paid on the product which doesnt go to the individuals, it goes to the organisation or communities for development projects such as health, education and sanitation. One producer of Fairtrade Organic Olive Oil is Zaytoun Zaytoun is the UKs first volunteer non-profit project to import fair trade palestinian organic olive oil to the UK. The oil is imported from farmers worse hit by the current political crisis in Palestine. The agricultural economy, which is one of the major arteries of the Palestinian economy, has been significantly damaged due to the continuing conflict with Isreal. 65% of Palestinian families live in rural areas and are connected to agriculture in some form. Rural livelihoods have been desimated through the confiscation of land, uprooting of trees, controlling of water sources, denying access to land and the lack of access to markets in Isreal and abroad. Zaytoun attempts to seek a practical means of assisting the Palestinian People by providing consumers with something we use at least once a week, cooking oil! Did you know that you can also buy olive based beauty care products such as soap? Olives have long since been known to hold the secret of youthful vitality. Nokia 6070 - A Tale Of Balanced Features

May 29th, 2008 by myrlenebansal

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Adam_Jaylin]Adam Jaylin In the second month of 2006, Nokia came up with Nokia 6070. To place it somewhere on the utility chart is not easy which could be explained on the basis of what it features. By no standards, Nokia 6070 is a high-end phone and to tag it as an entry level handset will not be fair by virtue of its technical specifications. At best, it can find a place somewhere in the middle striking a balance in between technical features and modest looks. Nokia 6070 has this humble demeanour which should go well with consumers who would prefer not to confuse themselves in a glut of features, rather have those in their handsets which they are likely to use on a regular basis. On this consideration, Nokia 6070 may get noticed readily and more significantly by a larger consumer base. Extremely light weighed at 88g and displaying a uniform shape, Nokia 6070 has been incorporated with GSM Triband technology which should enable consumers to stay connected at most of the places across the globe. This brings us to the set of features which keeps Nokia 6070 from being called an entry level mobile phone. We are talking about data transfer/connectivity tools which nokia 6070 comes integrated with. This front features sufficient options in GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, USB, infrared port and WAP 2.0/xHTML browser to make data/information sharing in between PC and handset easy for consumers. There is nothing much about the VGA camera in [http://www.ukonlinemarket.co.uk/mobile/Phone_Deal.asp?Ph=Nokia--6070]Nokia 6070 but for the fact that it is capable of capturing and playing back videos. Total internal memory of 16 MB may leave consumers wanting for more which further looses ground as memory upgrade facility is not available. But for these kind of handsets, there was always going to be a flipside. Downloadable user interface themes, games & ringtones, Java applications, PoC and FM stereo radio do not leave any stone unturned in making Nokia 6070 far from a basic handset which is set to woo its own set of consumers. History Of Oak Trees, Quercus Sp

May 26th, 2008 by myrlenebansal

By Patrick Malcolm Heroditus, the father of ancient history, recorded in the mid-400’s B.C., that oak trees were reputed to have within their boughs, the gift of prophecy. The presence of oak tree galls in oak trees is caused by insect larvae that tunnel inside the twigs. The oak tree branches can become infested with numerous little galls that look like brown or tan balls, as the cells of the oak tree grow to surround the insects inside. Some cultures call these creations, ‘Oak Apples,’ and they are used commercially to produce tannins, ink and a wide assortment of medicinal remedies. The use of oak wood is well known as a hard wood with many uses reported in ancient times. It is not an easy task to write about the history of oak trees, because there are so many species, all having different stories of their own in historical development of tree lines, having evolved in different climates in different nations of the World. William Bartram in 1773 wrote in his book, ‘Travels’, that he slept underneath the protecting shade of the hospitable live oak, and reclined my head, and at Fort Frederica, Ga. under the whole spreading boughs that opened a spacious avenue leading to the former seat of General Oglethorpe. One live oak tree called the Wesley Oak, named after the founder of the Methodist Church, John and Charles Wesley, was used to carve out a rugged, wooden cross, that is still used at the altar of the Christ’s Episcopal Church on St. Simon’s Island, Georgia, also the island site of Fort Frederica, Georgia. Over the last several hundred years, all around the world, different varieties of Oak Trees have been discovered; six hundred plus. Oak trees are desired among the gardening world for many different reasons. Some gardeners like the old world appeal of swooping oak tree limbs, covered with hanging Spanish moss. Some may like to plant them for shade trees, but what is probably the most famous association of oak trees are on the old plantations of the south. Innumerable forests of oak trees, neatly trimmed and brimming with wildlife, nibbling away at the acorns. There are several classifications of oak trees: Deciduous Varieties: Pin Oak Tree, Quercus palustris; Sawtooth Oak Tree, Quercus acutissima; Willow Oak Tree, Quercus phellos; White Oak Tree, Quercus alba; Water Oak Tree, Quercus nigra; Turkey Oak Tree, Quercus laevis; Swamp Chestnut Oak Tree, Quercus michauxii; Shummard Oak Tree, Quercus shummardii; Red Northern Oak Tree, Quercus rubra; Red Southern Oak Tree, Quercus falcata; and the Post Oak Tree, Quercus stellata. There are also Evergreen Oaks: Laurel Oak Tree, Quercus laurifolia; and the Darlington Laurel Oak Tree, Quercus hemisphaerica. The two most famous however, are Semi-Evergreen: Live Oak Tree, Quercus virginiana; and Sand Live Oak Tree, Quercus geminata. All of these varieties produce acorns that vary in size from inch to 1 inches. In locations where Oak trees are not commonly found, certain varieties can be planted to attract wildlife. Smaller nut varieties are fed on by squirrels, and birds, and larger acorn varieties like the White Oak, and Gobbler Oak and Sawtooth Oak are eaten by deer, turkey, and boar. The White Oak tree is a great wildlife cultivar to plant because of its ability to ripen acorns within one year, and its above average growth rate. The Live Oak is commonly found in woods of the Southeastern United States. Pine trees are also found in large numbers in the Southeast, so there will certainly be turkeys out in the morning and evenings looking for live oak tree delicacies, gobbling invitations for their turkey friends to come down and join them in Thanksgiving for the Fall feast. When Oak trees are planted for shade trees one must consider the overall height of the tree. The Black Oak Tree, and White Oak Tree can grow as tall as a hundred feet, whereas, the Water Oak and Sand Live Oak, and Chinquapin Oak will only reach fifty feet or there about. Quercus rubra or Northern Red Oak, one of the fastest growing oak trees, can reach towering heights of eighty feet in just about half the time that a Sand Live Oak takes to grow fifty feet, and is often a choice shade tree among new home builders. Along the Georgia Coast at Sea Island, Georgia, oak trees have been planted around the main hotel, and since their opening in 1928, famous former Presidents, and dignitaries from around the world have planted a Live Oak tree to commemorate their stay at Sea Island, Georgia, even Former President George Herbert Walker Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush honeymooned there. Lady Margaret Thatcher, former prime minister of Great Britain, planted a Live Oak at Sea Island in 1994. President G.H.W. Bush planted a Live Oak tree in 1991 while on vacation at the Cloister. On February 12, 1941, Howard Coffin, the founder of Sea Island, had planted a Live Oak tree grown from a seed brought from Surry England, to commemorate the founder and first Governor of Georgia, General James Oglethorpe, whose home was in England. Lastly, the most recent Live Oak trees planted on Sea Island, Georgia was in 2004 during the G-8 Summit, when President G.W. Bush, and British Prime Minister Tony Blair planted Live Oak trees at the inauguration of their meetings with the worlds economic leaders, at the G-8 Summit. The chronological order in which Sea Island, Georgia memorial, and commemorative oaks were planted and are presently growing there. 1928: Calvin Coolidge planted the very first Live Oak tree at Sea Island when the Cloister Hotel opened for business. 1931: Howard Coffin, the founder of The Cloister at Sea Island planted a Live Oak tree to celebrate Georgia’s founder and first Governor, James Oglethorpe. 1946: Former President Dwight D. Green Tea Extract

May 14th, 2008 by myrlenebansal

By Seth Miller Tea is just one of the favorite drinks of many individuals. Drinking tea has partly been customary especially during lazy afternoons when, in some cultures, it is most appropriate to stop all activities to grab a cup of tea in order to relax. The green tea in particular is more than just a beverage. It also appears to be an extraordinary medicinal herb! Throughout the United States, China, and Japan, the green tea extract has become popularized when professional journals and medical publications started unraveling the medical benefits of drinking the green tea extract. Scientists have particularly focused on the tremendous effect that the green tea extract imposes both in the fields of health and beauty. The onset of green tea extract as used in the treatment of body pains, skin diseases, and other health problems can be rooted back to the Chinese and Japanese people. Being believers of the power of the herbs, the Chinese and Japanese people had introduced to the people of all races the magical cure brought about as the result of green tea extract intake and application. Green tea extract is basically loaded with what is known as bioflavonoids that are widely recognized to fight off the free radicals that have accumulated in the human body system. Likewise, green tea extract is also enriched with another valuable antioxidant, the Epigallocatechin Gallate or EGCG. The Epigallocatechin Gallate contained in green tea extract is said to be at least two hundred times more effective in the neutralization of free radicals than vitamin E. Also, the intake of green tea extract is identified with its capacity of guarding the human system against digestive and respiratory infections, soaring high cholesterol levels, cancer of all forms, liver failure and the attack of bacteria related to dental cavities. Green tea extract is undoubtedly to be credited for many miracles. Isn’t it amazing that there are more benefits offered by a natural herb as compared by those over-the-counter and prescribed drugs? Discover Freedom From Neck Pain - Naturally

May 9th, 2008 by myrlenebansal

By Brenda Slovin Is Life a Pain in Your Neck? Perhaps one of the most common health complaints in our hectic lives today is chronic neck pain. Neck pain can disrupt our lives, limit our ability to enjoy our favorite activities and can even make a normal workday unbearably agonizing. Several factors can contribute to neck pain. Symptoms may be the result of bad posture at a computer in the workplace, or a neck trauma. Fortunately, a regimen of posture improvement exercises and other proactive, natural techniques have proven amazingly effective in relieving and preventing chronic neck pain. Back and Posture Problems in Using Computers In a majority of cases, the culprit responsible for that grinding pain in your neck is actually todays high-tech workplace. Thats right, your computer workstation. Long hours spent slouched in front of a computer is driving a new generation of workers to seek chiropractic help. Bad posture at a computer is responsible for a myriad of health issues, including neck pain, migraines, upper back pain and fatigue. Use Computer Ergonomics to Eliminate Neck Pain Take a critical look at your working environment. Is it ergonomically friendly? Using a computer can be a pain in the neck literally. Positioning or using your computer improperly can negatively affect your posture, resulting in neck pain, headaches and energy-zapping fatigue. For example, if your computer monitor is at less than a 90 degree angle with your eyes, you tend to tilt your head forward to look at the monitor. Neck pain is a direct result of this type of head-forward posture. To prevent head-forward posture, adjust either your chair or monitor until the top of your monitor is just about eye level. Another important factor at your workstation is your chair. An ergonomically designed chair will help you achieve a comfortable working posture in which your joints are properly aligned. This neutral body positioning effectively reduces stress and strain on your muscles, tendons and the rest of your neuro-musculoskeletal system. Additionally, an adjustable chair with a good lumbar support helps to take additional stress off those sore back muscles. Creative Stress Reduction Ideas It seems that while we are all dealing with our increasingly hectic lifestyles, our leisure time is quickly becoming a fondly remembered thing of the past. Between the daily stress of career, family and an overwhelming amount of other responsibilities, we seldom find time to simply, relax. How you choose to deal with your daily stress is a key factor in reducing tension-related neck pain. Many times, simple adjustments in your behavior and attitude are surprisingly effective in handling stress in a healthier manner. For example, try taking control of the tension level in your life with creative stress reduction ideas such as: Set aside 30 to 35 minutes of each day for some moderate exercise. Your body was not meant to sit in front of a computer, motionless all day. Your body craves movement and exercise is a great way to get your blood pumping, as well as a way to work off the tension of the day. Be sure to allow your body at least seven to eight hours of sleep every night. This is the time when your body recharges and repairs itself. Inadequate rest sets you up as a prime candidate for illness, impaired thought and exhaustion. Eat right! French fries are not vegetables, and ketchup is not a fruit. Take time to eat at least three nutritionally balanced meals every day, and dont forget to include several servings of fresh fruits and veggies. Your body requires fuel to function at optimum efficiency, and candy from the vending machine just doesnt cut it. Give yourself time to relax. All work and no play not only makes Jack a dull boy, but it also probably makes him incredibly stressed out. Give your mind and your body time to unwind and enjoy activities that have absolutely nothing to do with work. You will find that the more you do this, the more your workplace attitude and productivity will improve. Life is too short to allow stress and poor health habits to overshadow and control it. Resolve to make the changes that will enhance your health and well-being. Beauty and joy are all around us, every day take time to go out and discover them. ABOUT THE AUTHORS: Drs.
